Supporting the Early Detection of Breast Cancer through Advice, Awareness and Education
Breast Screening Services
Lady McAdden provides Breast Awareness consultations to women aged 18+, with our specialist nurses via a secure online appointment or telephone. Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women, as 1 in 7 women will develop Breast Cancer in their lifetime. The risk increases with age, rising steadily from the menopause. Breast Awareness is a valuable and important part of Breast Screening.
As an independent charity, we rely on donations, fundraising and specific grant funding when available.
How can you help us? We are very grateful for any donations, volunteering, etc.

What They Say
Just to say Natalie was lovely. A very reassuring voice.
Kind regards I just wanted to say. What a lovely nurse you have working for you. Such a nice lady so kind and caring and listened to everything I said and gave me great advice.
So thank you very much. As soon as I get my disability on Thursday next week I’ll donate some money x thank you
I had my appointment today with Kerry at 11 o’clock and I have to say I’ve never felt so reassured about something I generally thought I knew nothing about. Kerry showed me how to do it and then went through it again and done it with me so I didn’t feel alone.
I cannot believe how nervous I was for this appointment, but it really was nothing to be worried about.
I would just like to say a big thank you to Kerry for helping me to understand how to check and that I’ve got this. The most kindest and friendly person who made me feel so calm and in control.
I cannot thank you enough! Many thanks again for your help! Keep well and safe!

I have had my session with Natalie – she is wonderful. She made me feel reassured about my concerns as well as supporting me with the next steps.
She also gave me some tips about what to look out for and what to do if I am ever unsure in the future. I cannot thank her enough! I just thought you should know.
My breast awareness consultation was really useful to me, even though I am reasonably breast aware, talking it through with a professional is so re-assuring and allowed me to double check things that I wasn’t too sure about.
It was great to be able to ask questions, and Natalie explained everything to me in a way that was really practical and easy for me to understand.
I’ve definitely come away from the chat feeling more confident and calm and it’s great to know I can come back to you if I have any further questions or need advice.

I have just had my breast awareness appointment. The nurse made me feel totally at ease and was very relatable – I felt very comfortable. It was good to go over what I should be doing and she gave me some good advice regarding mammograms too.
Thank you for the service,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you & Nurse Natalie for setting up time to talk to me.
I knew deep down I was doing the right thing to get advice but I always worry I’m taking away time from someone more in need. But Natalie was kind, empathetic, so professional & above all knowledgeable & reassuring!
The video link worked well and Natalie did not rush me one bit and answered every last question.
Huge thank you & I’ll be making a donation.
Take care & stay safe!
